As summer temperatures continue to rise, it’s not easy to find a place where you can enjoy a light meal, indulge in handmade pastries, or spend a pleasant evening with friends while sipping on a refreshing signature cocktail.
Our suggestion is Bistro Le Kolač, a place that has quickly established itself as a go-to spot in the city centre, offering delicious bites and a break from the hustle and bustle. It is located just a fifteen-minute walk from the heart of the city, in Park Kneževa at Branimirova 41.

Since its inception, Chef Robert Hromalić has been dedicated to culinary excellence, and for the hot summer days, he has created a new and enticing menu featuring toasts and sweet croissants with pistachio and raspberries for breakfast, served until 11:30 am.

He has also crafted gourmet sandwiches with roasted salmon, chicken, and pistachios, as well as a sweet and savoury variation with tuna and salmon croissants, perfect for brunch or lunch.

To beat the summer heat, he has come up with ICE DONUTS, delicious toasted donuts filled with ice cream, exclusively available at this bistro.

Dominik Bečvardi, last year’s best bartender in Croatia and co-founder of Zagreb’s Peaches&Cream bar, is the creator of five interesting signature cocktails inspired by summer.

Combinations of yuzu and hazelnut, bitter orange liqueur and cherry, and peach and Sichuan pepper are just a few of the ingredients Dominik has expertly blended into refreshing summer flavours.

With a capacity of around a hundred people, this bistro is also the perfect venue for hosting corporate events. The spacious outdoor terrace can accommodate up to 75 people for after-work parties, chill-outs, or business gatherings, and Robert will gladly create custom corporate pastries just for you.

If you’re tired after a long workweek, you can expect a relaxing lounge atmosphere here, with great music and signature cocktails, along with a rich selection of wines, champagnes, and the Old Pilot’s gin, complemented by various flavours of natural lemonades.
