Residential Burglaries on the Rise in Croatia

The number of homes being burgled in Croatia is on the rise, according to the latest statistics from Interpol

Residential burglaries in Croatia totalled 18,483 last year, up 7.6% from the previous year, whilst the number of ‘weekend homes’ broken into also rose, up 2.3% from the year before. People are being warned to take extra care, to make sure windows are shut, doors are locked and the mail box is emptied regularly as many families head off to the coast during the summer holiday period.
