The Croatian athletics team have performed exceptionally well at the fourth edition of the International Association of Ultra (IAU) 50km World Championships.

Held for the first time in India, both the Croatian women’s and men’s team took part.

In challenging conditions in Hyderabad, the Croatian girls secured the 3rd place and a bronze medal in the team competition. Croatia’s team comprised of Nataša Šustić, Mirjana Šimek Bilić, and Veronika Jurišić.

Manager Dragan Janković predicted the outcome accurately and tactically prepared his team, which surpassed Spain in the final stretch and ascended the podium.

Representing Croatia in India were: Silvia Šimunović (AK Sljeme), Nataša Šustić (AK Sljeme), Ines Jozić (UMK Mazator), Mirjana Šimek Bilić (AK Sljeme), Veronika Jurišić (AK Sljeme), Dubravka Mesec (AK Fit), Kristijan Rubinić (AK Jastreb), Andrej Hladnik (AK Varaždin), and Ante Živković (AK Fit).
