OMIŠ, 30 May 2019 – The Croatian national team will celebrate the 100th anniversary of football club NK Omiš in Dalmatia by playing a match against the club on Friday.

“We are looking forward to the match in Omiš, and we are delighted to be able to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the club that has given Croatia a few representatives, including Ivan Perišić,” coach Zlatko Dalić said earlier.

On Thursday, Luka Modrić and the rest of the squad held an open training session in Omiš. A few hundred fans braved the rain to see the team in action.

Modrić, local hero Perišić and the rest of the squad handed out balls and autographs and posed for photos with the fans after the session.

The World Cup runners-up will use the match as a warm-up for their EURO 2020 qualifier against Wales in Osijek on 8 June. The team will then head to Varaždin to play Tunisia in a friendly on 11 June.
