Croatian invasion of Germany: Fans seeking most tickets for Euro 2024

The interest is truly extraordinary, says the head of German football, emphasising the countries from which the most ticket requests for Euro 2024 are coming. 

We have ticket requests from 206 countries. Most of them come from Croatia, Albania, and Turkey, stated Bernd Neuendorf, the president of the German Football Association (DFB), regarding the interest in valuable tickets for Euro 2024, daily 24sata reported.

The head of German football emphasised that 2.3 million requests have already arrived for the final in Berlin, and there is tremendous interest in the opening and the match between Germany and Scotland.

A whopping 1.4 million people want to watch this clash live from the Munich stands.

The interest is truly extraordinary! – he said and revealed that even 145,000 people have applied to be volunteers at the tournament.

Croatia will play their first match at Euro 2024 in Berlin against Spain on June 15. In the second round, they go even further north, to Hamburg (Albania, June 19), while the last group stage match is in Leipzig (Italy, June 24).

Of course, Croatian fans had hoped for a group that plays in southern Germany, a bit closer to the homeland, but the red and white checkers will fill stadiums wherever Croatia plays in Germany. There is no doubt about that.
