Croatian pride and cultural will be celebrated during an NBA game in Detroit next month.

Croatian Heritage Night will be celebrated when Detroit Pistons face the Utah Jazz at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

This promises to be a night filled with Croatian cultural performances, and, of course, some thrilling basketball action. One of the highlights of the evening is the presence of Croatian talent on both teams.

Bojan Bogdanović will be wearing the colours of the Detroit Pistons, whilst on the opposing side, Luka Samanić will be playing for the Utah Jazz. It’s a opportunity to witness these talented Croatian players in action on the basketball court, making their homeland proud.

The festivities kick off with a Croatian Heritage pre-game performance. The enchanting voices of the Klapa Kartolina from Windsor, Ontario, will set the stage. Following this, Detroit’s own “Nova Nada” Croatian Folklore Ensemble, will perform a lively dance medley on the basketball court.
