New Edition of Charming Little Picnic on Zagreb’s Upper Town

Again, during August this year, Little Picnic will spread its blankets with the city panorama view and tell a different summer picnic tale at one of the most beautiful city venues.

Every Thursday in August from 6 to 11 P.M. Little Picnic will offer short and sweet break hidden from the city bustle, turning Upper Town Vranyczany’s Lea into comfortable gourmet-oasis for summer refreshment for guests and passer-bys.

If you find yourself somewhere close, come around and make a pause. Sit on the grass and relax after long day at work or rest your feet after exploring Upper Town nooks. Explore tables full of seasonal gourmet delicacies of local family farms, taste the food from the source and meet small farmers.

Fill your own picnic plate with local organically grown food or take a quick bite to your own taste from Little Market summer menu.

Take some goat cheese and portion of blackberries. Satisfy your sweet tooth with raw cakes or home made štrudla. Open a bottle of wine or order your favourite cocktail. Pick your blanket, make yourself comfortable and enjoy laid-back picnic gathering in midst Upper Town ambiance and charming vibe with the most beautiful view.

Right at the first edition Little Picnic became prominent among best gourmet-events in Zagreb, primarily for its concept that combines small mobile farmers’ market of organic produce with laid-back, self-service picnic. Besides, the event takes place at one of the most beautiful venues in town, at unique Upper Town ambiance, while charming decoration and romantic atmosphere resembles summer garden gatherings of the world capitals.

The gourmet repertoire is equally interesting, made only of selected delicacies offered by local family farms, focusing on indigenous and organically grown Croatian products.

Little Picnic will be regulat at Upper Town (Vranyczany’s Lea) during August, every Thursday afternoon-evening 6 – 11 P.M. In case of rain Little Picnic is cancelled.

Event is organised by Little Market and supported by Zagreb Tourist Board.
