Microsoft CEO Signs Agreement to Provide Croatian Schools With Free Office 365

CroatiaMicrosoft CEO Steve Ballmer (above) has signed an agreement with the government of Croatia that will see all schools across the country have free access to Microsoft’s online office and software plus services suite Office 365.

The Education Transformation Agreement, signed this week in Zagreb, will mean more than  550,000 students and teachers will have free access to the software. Also on Ballmer’s fleeting visit to the Croatian capital it was announced that Microsoft would invest in an Innovation Center in the eastern town of Osijek, a town labled the ‘Silicon Valley’ of Croatia with its fast growing software economy.
