Dinamo Not Getting Carried Away After Champions League Qualifying Win

CroatiaDinamo Zagreb have had a successful start to their European sojourn with a 2-0 win over Lithuanian champions Žalgiris at Zagreb’s Maksmir stadium last night in the 1st leg of 2nd round of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League, but coach Zoran Mamić is not getting carried away just yet…

“This is a beautiful result, but we have experience from the past and will not get carried away. We have to be completely focused and concentrate on the return leg,” Mamić said, after Algerian World Cup star Soudani and Domagoj Antolić had earlier sealed victory for the blues.

“We were more than solid. We were patient and focused. We knew that the opponents would play closed. We could have scored more goals tonight,” Mamić said.

The return leg in Lithuania will be played next week.
