Denmark’s Queen Goes to the Movies in Croatia

The Danish Royal Couple attended the screening of Itsi Bitsi, a film by Danish director Ole Christian Madsen at Zagreb’s Cinema Europa yesterday afternoon. Queen Margrethe II, Prince Consort Henrik and a Danish delegation were greeted in front of Cinema Tuškanac by Director of ZFF Boris T. Matić, Croatian Audiovisual Center Director Hrvoje Hribar, Director of Danish Film Institute Henrik Bo Nielsen and Madsen.

Another Danish short film, Seven Boats, directed by Hlynur Pálmason, was also shown before Itsi Bitsi as part of the Danish film programme and exchange of ideas between Croatian and Danish filmmakers . Zagreb Film Festival takes place at six venues across the city and closes on 26 October.
