Croatia to Host European Quran Recitation Competition

Croatia is set to host the 20th European Quran Recitation Competition later this month. The event, which will gather Europe’s best reciters of the central religious text of Islam, will be held at the Islamic Center of Zagreb in the capital on 27-28 September.
Competitors from various European countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Turkey, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Britain, Finland, the Netherlands and Croatia will be competing in the Quranic event. The winners will receive special awards as well as certificates of honor at the closing ceremony.
