Croatia to Face Mali in May

MaliThe Croatian FA have confirmed on Friday a World Cup warm up match against African side Mali…

Croatia will face the back to back Africa Cup of Nations 3rd place side on 31 May in Croatia, although the FA would confirm the venue at a later date.

“I am pleased with the agreement reached with Mali because they are a profile of the opponents which we wanted. Mali have finished third at the African Cup of Nations the last two years, they are a strong team that we will be good preparation for us for the Cameroon match,” said Croatia coach Niko Kovač.

Croatia’s build up to Brazil starts on 5 March with a friendly in St. Gallen against Switzerland, before they play Mali on 31 May and Australia on 6 June.
