Croatia Moves Up FIFA Rankings

World Cup-bound Croatia have jumped up one place on the latest FIFA rankings released today.

Croatia, under new coach Zlatko Dalic, has moved to be ranked 17th in the world after a win (4-1) and draw (0-0) against Greece in November in the World Cup playoff.

In October Croatia had dropped to 18th.

Croatia beat Greece to qualify for the World Cup in Russia (HNS)

Germany retains the No.1 spot, ahead of Brazil. Portugal is now ranked third, followed by Argentina and Belgium.

Croatia’s ranking has guaranteed them a place in Pot 2 for the draw for the 2018 World Cup in Russia which will be held on 1 December.
