The Croatian Football Federation has concluded the competition and selected the conceptual design and architectural firm for the development of the main project of the Croatian Football Federation camp.
The architectural firm Gradit d.o.o. has been chosen as the best solution for implementing the project.
The first phase of the Croatian Football Federation camp in Velika Gorica involves the construction of an administrative building, a stadium with a seating capacity of 1,500, three football fields, and warehouses.
The second phase includes the construction of a fourth football field, a medical centre, and a sports hall.
“I stated that our strategic goal is to build a football camp, and I thank all members of the Executive Board for their support, as well as our closest collaborators. I am pleased that we have taken concrete steps in this matter, signing an agreement with the government regarding the land. We have chosen the conceptual design and are now moving on to the development of the main project, followed by obtaining a construction permit. I said we wouldn’t boast about laying the cornerstone but take tangible steps. It will be the home of Croatian football, with the Federation’s administrative building where we would all be in one place, and there will be a suitable stadium and four football fields,” said the President of the Croatian Football Federation, Marijan Kustić.
As a reminder, one of the most significant events in the implementation of the Croatian Football Federation camp construction project was the signing of the Agreement on the donation of land for the construction of the football camp between the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the umbrella organisation of Croatian football.
“I will take this opportunity to thank Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and the entire government, including the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, as well as the Mayor of Velika Gorica, Krešimir Ačkar. We are now moving forward until completion,” concluded the head of Croatian football.
The conceptual design concept effectively positions the buildings on the plot, showcasing the diversity of functions of individual buildings, the location of football fields, the connection between the administrative building and the stadium, as well as the medical centre and sports hall.
The design concept with visual penetrations is conceived with recognisable symbols in the form of the coat of arms and red and white checkers.
