Barcelona Midfield Features 2 Croatians for the First Time Ever

CroatiaIt may have only been a friendly match, but for the first time ever world football giants Barcelona took the pitch with two Croatians in the side…

New Barcelona signings Alen Halilović and Ivan Rakitić featured together in the midfield for 45 minutes in the second half during Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with French club Nice. The match was Rakitić’s first for the Catalan’s after he completed a summer move from Seville, and the second for Halilović who featured in an earlier friendly. Both of the Croatians produced solid performances as Halilović attempts to play his way into Barcelona’s first team squad for the season.
