Austrian Home Improvement Chain bauMax to Close Down Croatian Stores

baumaxAustrian home improvement and do-it-yourself chain bauMax is to close its Croatian stores, reports Index.hr...

According to the report the chain has financial problems and as a result will close its non-profitable stores in Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia. bauMax will in future concentrate on profitable markets – 70% of trade currently is done in Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where bauMax has 103 stores and turns over around 1 billion euro annually. bauMax opened 7 stores in Croatia, with the first store opening in 2000.
