ZAGREB, 8 March 2020 – Tourist guides from the Croatian capital Zagreb have gathered on St. Mark’s Square to send a message to the world.
The reason for the gathering was the current situation in the world which has seen a significant reduction in tourist arrivals to Croatia, as well as departures on tours abroad from Croatia, and the chain reaction it has on all their colleagues such as agencies, carriers, caterers, hoteliers …
The ‘Flash message’ idea was initially started by tour guides in Italy, which has been most affected.
In their video message, Zagreb tour guides tell the world that Croatia is waiting for them after listing off a few short facts about the capital Zagreb.
“We are stronger together, tourism will not stop,” Zagreb tourist guides said.
