ZAGREB, 8 March (Hina) – The Central State Office for the Croats outside Croatia has set aside €1.7 million for projects and programmes of the Croat minority in 12 European countries in 2024.

Applications for grants can be sent until 5 April.

This year’s total allocation for this purpose is by €200,000 higher than in 2023.

The Office is set to disburse €450,000 for projects and programmes of ethnic Croats in Serbia, while associations and societies of the Croat community in Slovenia are entitled to €250,000.

The allocation for ethnic Croats’ projects in Austria and Hungary each is €200,000. Ethnic Croat associations in Montenegro can count on up to €150,000. Furthermore, Croat communities in Kosovo, Italy, Romania and North Macedonia each can count on €80,000, and €60,000 in Slovakia.

The lowest amounts, €40,000 and €30,000, are set aside for programmes of ethnic Croat societies in Czechia and Bulgaria respectively.

Individual grants can range from €400 as the lowest amount to the total allocation defined for each of the above-mentioned countries.
