ZAGREB, 4 April 2020 – Thousands of Croatians in Croatia and all over the world have united in a simultaneous rosary prayer this afternoon.

The initiative was organised by Father Ike Mandurić who urged all Croatians to join in a simultaneous rosary prayer for the Croatian people during this difficult time as the nation deals with the effects of a devastating earthquake and the coronavirus pandemic.

The rosary prayer took place on Saturday at 2 pm CET time with Croatians from Croatia, Australia, North and South American, and Europe taking part.

Over 11,000 people joined the prayer which was streamed live on YouTube, and with a large number of families taking part together, it is estimated that around 30,000 people joined the prayer.

“Let’s be together with the Homeland, all of us Croats from every continent, priests, and people of God. And let us pour out all our crying souls. Thanks to the power of grace that the dear God has given to our people, we ask that our people be elevated and thoroughly renewed through this crisis: for faith, to remain true to God and to the Church of our Catholicity, to end the pandemic and rebuild Zagreb, for our diaspora, to preserve our identity and our values, for the future of all Croatian people and their offspring, and for each of us with all our needs, Father Mandurić said.

Below is the prayer which was streamed live today.
