ZAGREB, 14 February 2020 – The United States of America is set to abolish visas for Croatian citizens travelling to the county by the end of this year, Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlic Radman said in Munich on Friday.

Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria and Cyprus are the only EU member states that have not yet had visa restrictions for citizens traveling to the United States of America lifted.

Grlic Radman met with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Munich today and later said that both visas and double taxation should be resolved by the end of the year.

“We have fulfilled all (conditions) and it is just a matter of when (they will be lifted). It is in the interest of both Croatian and American business people,” Grlic Radman told reporters.

Grlic Radman met with Pompeo ahead of the start of the Munich Security Conference, the world’s leading forum for discussing international security policy, Poslovni.hr reported.
