UEFA Turn Down Croatia’s Appeal Against One-Point Deduction

Croatia have lost its appeal against a one-point deduction after a swastika was embedded on to the Poljud stadium pitch when they took on Italy in a Euro 2016 qualifier in June, ANSA reported on Friday…

The appeal, which was heard on Thursday, has been turned down, meaning Croatia remain in third sport in Group H with 15 points, one point less than Norway who are second, and three points behind group leaders Italy.

Croatia play Malta and Bulgaria in their final two matches with the first and second place qualifying directly for Euro 2016 in France. The third place side will playoff for a spot.
