Slovak Wins 10th Tisno International Donkey Race in Front of 10,000 People

The small Dalmatian town of Tisno has held its 10th International Donkey Race on Saturday night…

Tourists from Germany, Holland, Slovakia, England, France, Brazil, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Hungary took part this year in front of more than 10,000 spectators in the event which has become a popular summer tradition in Tisno.

This year’s winner was 20-year-old Slovak Daniel Sulan riding Miško, which was trained by Peter Šimonič. The Croatian team were in second place, with the Germans in third.

The International Donkey Race, which was celebrating its jubilee 10th year, is one of the main summer attractions in the Šibensk-Knin County.
