Six Times More Widows Than Widowers Living In Croatia

There are nearly 6 times more widows than widowers in Croatia, according to statistics released by the Central Bureau of Statistics recently.

There are around 345,000 women whose spouses have passed away living in Croatia, whilst there are only 62,000 men living who have lost their wives. The statistics revealed that one in every six widow or widower lives in the capital Zagreb. The next highest ratio is in the Split-Dalmatia county, followed by the Osijek-Baranja county.
