High jumper Blanka Vlašić and champion discus thrower Sandra Perković have both won their respective events in Paris yesterday. Vlašić, who is returning to the top of her discipline slowly after time out through injury, jumped 2 metres to win the high jumper event. Meanwhile Perković is continuing her dream season thus far, her throw of 68.48 metres set a meeting record and was gave her victory in Paris. Another Croatian competing in the high jump event, Ana Šimić, finished in third place with a jump of 194 centimetres.
