Rio Paralympics 2016: Croatia Wins Long Jump Gold Medal

Mikela Ristoski has become the second Croatian athlete to win gold at the Rio Paralympics 2016 in Rio de Janeiro…

Ristoski (26), who won the bronze medal at the 2012 Games in London, won gold in the women’s long jump on Thursday. Ristoski set a record with her winning jump of 5.79 metres.

This is Croatia’s fourth medal at the Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro. Men’s discus thrower Velimir Sandor won bronze, Zoran Talic won silver in the men’s long jump, whilst Sandra Paovic won gold in the table tennis.

Croatia now has a total of 18 medals at all Paralympic Games.
