[PHOTOS] Star Wars Mania Grips Croatia

Just like the rest of the world, Star Wars fanatics in Croatia have been counting down till today to see what is forecast to be the highest-grossing film in cinema history…

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens across Croatia today, but the die-hards packed out cinemas last night in the capital for the premiere of the much-anticipated film.

The latest film is the 7th installment in the main Star Wars film series, and stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Lupita Nyong’o.

The Force Awakens is set approximately 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, where the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire have become the Resistance and the First Order, respectively, and follows new leads Finn, Rey, and Poe Dameron alongside characters returning from previous Star Wars films.

Last night’s after party held after the screening was the highlight of the events surrounding the movie.
