Great music, refreshing drinks, and irresistible flavors of pizzas – a recipe for a great time out

Delicious pizzas, great music, and refreshing drinks are the main features of a new gastro adventure in Trg dr. Franje Tuđmana that opened today. From Thursday, June 23, until Sunday, July 7, the creators of Fuliranje and Burger Festival, Kokoš ili jaje agency, are turning their fantasy into reality by organizing Pizza Fest.

Experienced pizza enthusiasts that have made appearances at many Croatian and European food festivals will be there to present you irresistible variations of this globally loved traditional Italian food. Some 15 different pizza flavors from Romana, Napoletana to Siciliana will be offered to visitors to taste, find their favorite pizza flavor, and fall in love with them.

The Pizza Institute, with maestro Ivan Badžek as an art director, pizzaiolo Eric as a dedicated executive manager that follows the creative ideas of Tomislav, presents 5 flavors. Apart from the classics and the eternal MaMargherite, visitors will get a chance to enjoy Pepperoni – a spicy variation with two kinds of sausages and chili, Pizzaiolo, a veggie rhapsody of plant-based flavors, and the White pizza with ample amounts of cheese and beet microgreens by Sergej from Vesela motika.

Picnic ekipa (The Picnic gang) presents six variations of pizza, inspired by legendary Roman pizza from Bonci and Antico Forno Roscioli pizzerias. Prepared with local and Italian ingredients, these beauties with catchy names: Furešta, Paška, Talijanka, Margherita, Istrijanka, and Dalmatinka, will attract all food lovers, and extraordinary tastes and flavors and an option to buy smaller bites (weighed in grams) will tempt all palates.

Beg’s Plant Based offers 4 original flavors with plant-based ingredients exclusively. For the first time, the visitors will get a chance to taste plant-based salmon, four kinds of cheese, and minced meat in reduced vermouth. In addition, the offer includes several cocktails like Grande Espresso Martini and a summer variation of the Fuliranje favorite – Kai Chai. Also, a rich selection of biodynamic wines from all over Europe will be offered.

“Mafia” will also attend the Fest. Headed by Capo di tutti Capi – Marin Medak, directly from RougeMarin, Mafia will bring the tastes and flavors of their “home.” They prepared many variations of pizza Siciliana with picturesque names – Palermo, Capo di tutti Capi, Cosa Nostra, Racket Pizzo, and Familia. Yes, finger-licking food!

Now, if you are asking yourself what is there to drink, just go to the Wine Bar and look for the answer. You will find a selection of the best from the Šoškić Winery there. Or you may go to Gingle Bells for a cocktail by G3 Spirits. Rakijarnica could also be your choice with an added value since Designer Outlet Croatia gives away a Day 10%-Discount Card (for all goods sold at the outlet) with every cocktail.

All in all, you name it, Pizza Fest has it – chilled Staropramen, Jamnica, and Coca-Cola soft drinks. However, this is not all because the gang in the Aperol vehicle is offering refreshing drinks in the summer colors.

And on top of everything, DJs will be there to spice up the event. Robert Mareković, the legend, will open this eleven-day music marathon with his recognizable rhythm of swing, rock&roll, and twist. On Friday, DJ Ozren Kanceljak Kanca will take over, and Stanko Bondža and William Collins over the weekend. The culmination leading to the end of the week will belong to DJ Mathiia, DJ Patrik and DJ Dadoo, DJ Hrwoe and Bocca Sofistifunk, and Jazzozo will close the Fest with his jazz, funk, disco, and house grooves.

No more standing in the line and nervous tip-toeing. Enjoy yourself with your friends, pay with your mobile purse and get your order when they ping you. This digital option of ordering and paying, RO Rabbit, is provided by the Croatian-American start-up RoomOrders Inc. exclusively for the Festival. Those favoring a more traditional approach are welcome to use cash or cards. However, QR codes, exhibited everywhere, including the T-shirts of hostesses, will be the easiest and the most convenient solution.
