VIENNA, 25 January 2020 – Croatian folklore ensemble “LADO” has performed this week at the Vienna City Hall to mark Croatia’s presidency of the European Union.

More than 500 invited guests, including a number of business people, diplomats, politicians, and culture professionals from both Austria and Croatia, turned up to the Vienna City Hall at Rathausplatz on Wednesday evening to enjoy a spectacular concert from the famous Croatian folklore ensemble.

The group is now in Prague where they will perform next before performing concerts in Munich and Bratislava.

LADO, which formed in 1949, is the nation’s most successful cultural export product and last year celebrated 70 years of performing. Over the past seven decades, LADO has more than 5,000 performances in Croatia and around the world under their belts for which they have won numerous awards. LADO has had a number of famous Croatian ethnographers and choreographers, music arrangers, and folklorists work with them.
