TOYKO, 3 August 2021 – Tin Srbic has won the silver medal for Croatia in the gymnastics at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. 

Srbić finished second in the men’s horizontal bar final on Tuesday with an impressive performance and a score of 14,900 points, which was the most points he has scored in his career.

Japan’s Daiki Hashimoto won gold with 15,066 points, whilst Nikita Nagornji from ROC with 14,533 points took bronze.

“I am very proud of my achievement, I am happy with my score. I couldn’t do better than I did today. It was hard to wait ten days from qualifying to the final. The final just flew by and I am happy,” said Srbić after the final.  

The 24-year-old Zagreb native now adds an Olympic silver medal to his impressive resume. He won the gold medal at the World Champs in 2017 as well as silver in 2019. He also won the silver at the European champs in 2019 and 2020.

Croatia now has 8 medals, including three gold, three silver and two bronze.
