NBA Scouts Eye Up Croatian Wunderkind

NBA basketball scouts have been keeping an eye on 15-year-old Croatian wunderkind Dragan Bender, who has been tipped to become a huge star in the sport.

The athletic 206cm Croatian U-16 international was the star of the recent Adidas Eurocamp in Treviso, Italy which is a three-day showcase of Europe’s finest basketball players ranging in age 18-21 and is the only officially sanctioned NBA pre-draft camp outside of the United States.

The Eurocamp invites elite players throughout Europe to participate and gain the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of scouts, coaches, and general managers from a number of basketball teams and leagues from around the world, including the NBA and Euroleague, and Croatian Bender was one of the stand-out players during the weekend.

Bender, who currently plays for Split in the Adriatic league, says that his idol is former Chicago Bulls legend Croat Toni Kukoc, whilst he admires Carmelo Anthony’s style.
