Samobor, March 18, 2024 – RC Europe, a development and investment group from the Czech Republic, has announced the beginning of a new phase in the construction of its first project in Croatia – the largest and most modern logistics center, RC Zone Samobor, along with the names of the first tenants, all major players in the logistics sector.

Located near the exit of the A3 motorway and the Slovenian border, on a plot of land covering 170,000 square meters, will stand a facility spanning 86,000 square meters for leasing purposes.

Valued at over 100 million euros, with completion expected in a year, tenants will be able to utilize the space of this future logistics center according to their desires and needs – whether for storage, production, or office operations.

The potential and benefits of RC Zone have already been recognized by three significant tenants who have chosen to enhance their future operations within the Bobovica economic zone.

The first agreement was reached with the Croatian branch of the global logistics leader, DB Schenker, present in over 150 countries with more than 2,000 branches and approximately 74,500 employees.

Following suit is Logaritam, a company whose team of experienced professionals has been offering storage services, handling, national distribution, as well as international freight services for fifteen years.

The third partner in line is Milšped, providing modern logistics and transportation services for 30 years in 14 countries across 3 continents. Although they already possess an impressive warehouse in nearby Sveta Nedelja, this partnership confirmation will significantly expand their existing capacities.

After months of dedicated work and successful completion of preparatory and earthworks, the project recently entered a new phase, focusing on reinforced concrete works and the assembly of prefabricated structures, including 120 facade columns, as well as the long-awaited installation of the roof structure.

“We are extremely proud of the progress made so far on the RC Zone Samobor project; everything is proceeding according to the planned schedule, and the capacities are rapidly filling up with reputable names from the industry. We look forward to future agreements and the completion of the works themselves. I would like to commend the entire team and thank the City of Samobor and the local community for their support and collaboration in creating a logistics center that will be crucial for the local and regional economy, while also setting new standards in the logistics industry,” said Antonín Dillenz, CEO of RC Europe and project manager.

In addition to business success, RC Europe is dedicated to sustainability and environmental protection.

The RC Zone project is a good example of green and sustainable construction in line with the international BREEAM® certification. It will include a 7 MW solar photovoltaic power plant on the roof, as well as charging stations for electric trucks and cars.
