The three-year GO WINE project, which combines the three wine routes of Jastrebarsko, Samobor, and Sveti Ivan Zelina, around the Croatian capital Zagreb, has officially concluded with the production of a promotional tourism film.

WINE ROAD Jastrebarsko, Samobor, Sveti Ivan Zelina, as we learn for the first time, is the title of the new promotional tourism film.

Its goal is to enhance the visibility (brand awareness) of the three city break destinations through a series of interesting and dynamic shots, showcasing picturesque locations and emphasising that these eno-gastronomic tourist destinations are available 365 days a year, offering a plethora of experiences.

The film is designed for wine, food, culture, and nature enthusiasts and will be presented at domestic and international festivals, as well as on social media.

The three-minute promotional film highlights the key feature of authenticity and portrays the fun experiences of two travellers.

In 3 minutes and 21 seconds, the film dynamically narrates the natural beauty of terraced hillsides, which, on one hand, soothe the soul with their tranquility, but on the other hand, stimulate new experiences with premium gastronomic flavours and the vibrancy of wines in glasses, carefully stored in the wine cellars of these three wine routes.

In this way, the GO WINE project, based on technology, innovation, accessibility, and sustainability, using available digital tools, promotes the key feature of authenticity reflected by hospitable, open, and warm people, diversity, and the rich natural and cultural heritage. Undoubtedly, a part of it is the eno-gastronomic offer that has experienced significant growth in the Zagreb County in recent years, as witnessed in the film.

The wine destinations of Jastrebarsko, Samobor, and Sveti Ivan Zelina evoke emotions and awaken all your senses.

“With this promotional tourism film, we wanted to create an invitation for food and wine lovers and highlight that our green county is not lacking in added values and high-quality offerings. The three-year implementation of the GO WINE project concluded with the tourism valorisation of resources attractive to tourists, allowing them to satisfy their tourist (cultural or recreational) needs for consuming gastronomic and wine offerings, with a picturesque presentation of this heritage,” emphasised the project coordinator Marinka Zubčić Mubrin, the director of the Tourist Board of the City of Sveti Ivan Zelina.

During the project implementation, the official website of the Go Wine project was created, offering an interactive virtual walk through the wine routes. Wine maps were printed, as well as an interactive map allowing an overview of all members of the three wine routes in the Zagreb County, including the direct contacts of wineries and hospitality services, as well as navigation to each winery.

Zagreb and Zagreb County constitute an area visited by a large number of both business and tourist visitors throughout the year. For weekend getaways, residents often choose the wine routes of Zagreb County. For this reason, they have developed an interactive tool that allows faster location finding and consolidates a comprehensive list of destinations.

In total, 171 locations were filmed and processed for virtual walks through the vineyards, capturing around 500 photos for various promotional purposes.

The GO WINE project, led by the tourist boards of Jastrebarsko, Samobor, and Sv. Ivan Zelina, is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Croatian Tourist Board, and the Tourist Board of Zagreb County.
