The DJ, producer and singer-songwriter will be joined on the main stage by previously announced Offenbach, Ian Asher, INIKO, ARTBAT, Hot Since 82, Deborah De Luca, Joker Out and Butch Cassidy.

Although his stage breakthrough came after the collaboration with Rudimental on the song “Feel The Love”, the talented English singer-songwriter, producer and DJ instantly conquered the audience, charts and radio airwaves around the world with his debut single “Love Me Again” in 2013.

Inspired by the theme of love and romantic relationships with a large dose of emotion that he pours into his lyrics packed in danceable and infectious melodies, John has reached a large number of people. He writes, composes and arranges his own music, and his authentic style and distinctive voice make him stand out from the crowd.

His catalog includes a long sequence of hits, of which “Come And Get It”, “Cheating”, “Losing Sleep”, “Blame”, “Fire In Me” are just a few. The fantastic John Newman will take to the Tesla Main Stage on the second day of the Sea Star Festival to ignite the hearts and dance the bodies of the audience.

Newman was born and raised in the small English town of Settle, and his musical story began when he was only 14 years old. Newman’s love for music was mostly influenced by his single mother, and he taught himself how to record and produce tapes, as well as DJ. At the age of 16, he moved to Leeds where he continued to develop his sound and musical education. His music and lyrics were mostly influenced by difficult life events.

In addition to being abandoned by his father when he was only six years old, he also experienced the loss of his two best friends who were killed in a car accident. Due to these events, he often cried and sang along with the guitar, and he translated his feelings into sincere and emotional music.

In addition, he also survived brain tumour surgery, which made him aware of the need for rest and breaks. Singing about love problems, introspection and loss, John has won the hearts of audiences who resonate with his lyrics and fall in love with his voice, character and work.

Newman released his debut album “Tribute” in 2013, and it was announced by the single “Love Me Again”, which will remain one of the world’s biggest hits to this day.
