Zagreb, January 29, 2024 – Grace Jones is set to headline a concert in Zagreb at Šalata Stadium on Thursday, July 4th, 2024.

As one of the most recognisable figures in the American music scene, Grace Jones has been defining music, fashion, and art for almost four decades, becoming an indispensable part of pop culture encyclopaedias.

The large-scale open-air concert in the heart of Zagreb will offer a chance to experience a retrospective of her career.

As an author, singer, musician, and model of Jamaican descent, Grace Jones has a big repertoire behind her, from albums like “Warm Leatherette” and “Nightclubbing” to singles such as “Private Life,” “Pull Up to the Bumper,” “I’ve Seen That Face Before,” and “Slave to the Rhythm,” which have dominated music charts.

From her beginnings as a model in the 70s to becoming an icon of Studio 54, her film career in classics like “Vamp,” “Conan the Destroyer,” or “A View to a Kill,” and unforgettable performances, Grace Jones has remained known for her androgynous appearance, solidifying her place in pop culture.

VH1 has included her in the list of the 100 most important women of rock ‘n’ roll, while Billboard has placed her among the top 40 names in club culture.

Starting as a muse for numerous photographers, to this day, many musicians and artists cite her as an influence, including Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Lorde, Róisín Murphy, and Nile Rodgers. The documentary film “Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami,” as well as the ironically titled memoir “I’ll Never Write My Memoirs,” provide an intimate insight into the life of this great music and fashion icon.

She returned to the scene in 2009 with the acclaimed album “Hurricane” and has not stopped performing since then, remaining as original on stage as she was at the beginning of her career.

Concerts featuring original costume design, bursting with energy and provocativeness, are part of the brilliant live performances where Grace once again proves herself to be a timeless artist and a living icon.

Tickets for Šalata go on sale Wednesday, January 31st, starting at 10:00 AM, at an early bird price of 59 euros. After the early bird quota is exhausted, the price will rise to 64 euros.

The price of VIP tickets in the stands is 89 euros. They can be purchased online at Eventim and at their outlets, while hard copy tickets will be available at Dirty Old Shop, Rockmark, and Dallas Music Shop Rijeka.
