Japanese Global Parts Supplier Opens Croatia Centre

YazakiJapanese global automotive parts supplier Yazaki Corporation, who already employ 80 people in Croatia, are interested in opening a production plant in the country.

The mark the opening of the new Yazaki engineering center in Zagreb, representatives of the company met with officials from the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Center for Investment. At the meeting, Yazaki discussed the possibility of opening a production plant  in Europe, and the possibility of Croatia as a potential investment location. The Yazaki engineering centre which opened in Zagreb this week will be used for the testing of electronic equipment to be installed in cars.

Yazaki’s product lineup includes electrical cables, meter and auto instruments, gas equipment, air-conditioning, and solar-powered systems. As a first tier supplier, Yazaki sells chiefly to auto makers, and, to a lesser extent, electric power, gas, and general construction companies. Yazaki is among the top 100 companies receiving the most US patents. It’s headquarters are in Tokyo, Japan, with its European headquarters in Cologne, Germany and the North American headquarters in Canton, Michigan.
