IKEA Croatia guarantees jobs, wages of its workers, makes donations

ZAGREB, April 14 (Hina) – The IKEA Croatia company guarantees jobs and 100% of wages to all its 611 employees as long as the government’s measures are in place, the company said on Tuesday.

The company underscores that it has made product donations worth over HRK 1.5 million to the Croatian healthcare system and as the support to the community.

The IKEA store in Zagreb and its five delivery centres (in Dubrovnik, Osijek, Rijeka, Split and Zadar) will remain closed until further notice.

The employees, who continue to ensure that IKEA’s products remain available over the Internet and provide contactless home delivery service, will receive additional benefits from the company, they underscored.

Together with its partners, IKEA Retail and IKEA Centres, they made product donations worth over HRK 1.5 million to the Croatian health care system and to support the community. In collaboration with the Red Cross and government institutions, IKEA provided support for COVID-19 patients, medical experts and members of vulnerable communities by donating mattresses, textiles, food and other products.
