Iconic Bajadera turning 70 and gets new makeover

Few confectionary products hold the cultural significance and sentimental value quite like the famed Bajadera. 

Serving as both a symbol of familial affection and gift during social visits, this iconic nougat praline from Kraš has etched its place not only within the hearts of Croatians but also across international borders. 

Renowned not only for its exquisite taste but also its iconic stripped packaging, Bajadera has recently undergone a makeover, just in time for its upcoming birthday celebration.

“Approaching its 70th birthday, Bajadera has undergone a redesign and received a more contemporary visual identity. Bold design changes in line with modern aesthetic norms are the signature of the creative team at the agency Bruketa&Žinić&Grey,” Kraš said in a statement, adding.

“While remaining visually true to tradition and retaining its characteristic radiant appearance, the redesign has added a touch of modernity to make this recognizable praline an even greater delight for consumers’ eyes.”

Bajadera, which is a layered nougat with almonds, hazelnuts or walnuts, first appeared as a separate product in 1954 and has since represented one of Kraš’s most enduring brands, maintaining the original recipe and consistent quality all these years.

“Thanks to tradition, unquestionable popularity, and its distinctive taste, Bajadera always remains – Bajadera, irresistible in taste and appealing in appearance, timeless and now shining in a new light,” Kraš concluded. 

The new design sees bolder beige and brown stripes on an angle.
