The iconic Croatian sweet bajadera has received the international V-Label certification.

Bajadera has been nurturing its recipe for almost 70 years, and its irresistible texture and creamy taste have always been credited to exclusively plant-based ingredients.

V-Label is a license that guarantees the reliability of a product’s composition and attracts customers who, regardless of their dietary choices, willingly choose certified vegan products. In the European Union, V-Label is currently the most recognized mark found on plant-based products, with over 50,000 licensed products worldwide.

An increasing number of consumers seek and choose vegan products because they want items that can contribute to addressing climate change and protect the environment, animals, and their own health. V-Label immediately indicates to them that the product is indeed of this nature.

According to the independent global market research company Euromonitor International, the plant-based product market in Western Europe has doubled in the past decade, accounting for 38.5% of the total global revenue. V-Label influences the increased popularity of products among all consumers.

An indicator of the growing popularity of this label among local manufacturers is the information that in the recent period, some large Croatian companies, such as Franck, Anamaria Company, and Kraš, have successfully obtained the V-Label certification for their products. Thus, products like cappuccino, coffee, and sweets now guarantee to consumers that they are completely vegan, thanks to certification. These companies have joined other Croatian manufacturers who proudly display the V-Label on their products, including major companies like Podravka, Vindija, and Zvijezda, as well as many smaller producers who recognize the value of certifying their products with V-Label.

The well-known Bajadera has been nurturing its recipe for almost 70 years, and its irresistible texture and creamy taste have always been credited to exclusively plant-based ingredients. This is now confirmed by the V-Label certification, a mark that customers have already noticed and appreciate. V-Label will further attract consumers, and everyone will enjoy its rich taste.

The advantage of products carrying V-Label is the visibility and recognition in the market. The distinctive yellow-green sign has been on products worldwide for more than 20 years, so domestic products with V-Label are additionally recognized by tourists, and products with V-Label are more easily accepted in foreign markets.

In the world, many companies such as dm, SPAR, Lidl, Rauch, Kaufland, Starbucks, and many others license V-Label for their products year after year, offering their customers transparency and security in their choices. Domestic manufacturers increasingly recognize the benefits of licensing their products, and customers gain even more benefits, as V-Label instills additional trust in the product, regardless of their dietary choices.

The Animal Friends Association represents V-Label in Croatia, where there is a constant increase in interest and the number of new users, following positive trends abroad.
