Heatwave to Signal Start of Summer

With the start of the week bringing unsettled weather across the country, that is set to change later on in the week with the arrival of a hot spell from Thursday.

The Summer Solstice started today but the real summer weather will arrive later this week across Croatia with temperatures set to soar to 35°C from Thursday. The first real heatwave of the year is set to hang around at least till the end of the month in most areas.

Leading global meteorology forecasting service AccuWeather say that this summer will be a very dry and hot one in Croatia. Some parts of the country will see less than half the average amount of rainfall and extreme heat and dry spells will dominate forecasts all over the country over the summer.
