Hajduk Split Strike A Chord With Fans With Retro Sticker Album

It seems that the marketing team at Croatian football club Hajduk Split have come up with a winner. Recently the club launched a retro football sticker album, and sales have already exceeded all expectations.

The sticker albums, made famous in the 1970’s, gives fans a chance to collect stickers of Hajduk stars from yesteryear, and fill up the album. More than a million kuna (133,000 euros) is expected to be generated from the marketing initiative.
“All 500,000 packets which were imported into Croatia have been distributed and a majority of those have already been sold. We have ordered another 600,000 which will arrive today or tomorrow,” said Hajduk Split’s marketing director Aljosa Basic, adding that they now expect to sell around 1 million packets, a nice little tidy earner for the club.
