Google Data Reveals Croatia as World’s Most Desirable Destination

Croatia is the most desirable destination in the world, according to comprehensive analysis of Google data, reports Britain’s daily The Telegraph…

In an article titled “Mapped: Where the world wants to go on holiday“, The Telegraph reports that Croatia was ranked the number one most desirable destination for a holiday in the world based on analysis of queries made on the website teflSearch between July 2015 and July 2016. The data was gathered from over 80 countries in 52 languages and produced a series of maps that reveal the holiday wish lists of various nationalities.

World’s Most Desirable Destinations

1. Croatia – 2.71%
2. Greece – 2.54%
3. Turkey, Thailand – 2.47%
4. Spain – 1.99%
5. Italy – 1.9%
6. Cuba – 1.85%
7. Portugal – 1.66%
8. Malta – 1.65%

The world’s most visited country, France, failed to make the top 10, whilst the United States just scrapped in to the top 10.

Data on teflSearch also reveal the holiday wishes of different nationalities, including Croatians, who opt for the Maldives as the most favourite holiday destination, followed by Thailand and Malta. Among the top ten holiday destinations for Croatians are also Cuba, Greece, Tunisia, Montenegro, Turkey, Morocco and Mauritius.
