Free skiing on Zagreb’s Sljeme announced until end of season 

Zagreb authorities has confirmed that the ski resort on Sljeme will be free for all visitors until the end of the season.

“On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, the skiing season at Sljeme Ski Resort begins, and the good news is that, by the decision of Mayor Tomislav Tomašević, skiing for citizens will be free until the end of the season,” is was stated in the press release from the Sports Facilities Management Institution on their Facebook page. 

Red Slope Out of Service

“As the Red Slope will not be in operation due to damage caused by the storm, the skiing season will take place on the Green and White Slopes, whose tracks will be open to the public every day from 09:00 to 16:00.

Citizens can reach Sljeme by public transportation, namely ZET buses departing from Mihaljevac and the Sljeme Cable Car. 

The bus schedule can be checked at www.zet.hr and https://zicarasljeme.com.

“We urge all citizens not to use personal cars to come to Sljeme,” emphasised the City officials.

Additionally Snow-Covered Trail

Recall that the ski resort was already free on Sunday and Monday with additionally snow-covered trails, serving as an introduction to the official opening of the skiing season.
