Former Croatian Youth International Signs For New Zealand Club

Former Croatian youth international Mario Bilen has joined New Zealand side Auckland City FC. The tall defender will make his debut for the club in this weekend OFC Champions League match.

Bilen (28), who has represented Croatia 23 times at U17, U18, U19 and U20 level, joins Auckland City FC from NK Zadar. Bilen joins fellow Croats Ivan Vicelich, Danko Koprivcic and Daniel Saric at the club as they seek to qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco later this year.

Bilen has also played for HNK Cibalia, NK Dilj, NK Hrvatski Drogovaljac, NK Slaven Belupo, HNK Vukovar ’91, and NK Nehaj in Croatia.
