Focus On Croatia At Tokyo Film Festival

Seven award-winning short, experimental and animated Croatian films will feature in the “Focus of Croatia” programme at the Tokyo “Short Shorts” Film Festival which began in the Japanese capital yesterday.

The “Focus on Croatia” programme celebrates 20-years of diplomatic relations between Croatia and Japan. Another film, “Recycling”, directed by Branko Istvancic and about a Roma family living on the outskirts of Zagreb, will also feature at the festival in the ‘Save the Earth’ competition.

The Tokyo festival, which is an American Film Academy credited festival, is open until 16 June with the Grand Prix film winner eligible to be nominated for an Oscar in the best short film category.
