Entrepreneurship on the Rise in Croatia

Investments from small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in Croatia the first six months of this year rose by about 5 per cent compared to last year, said Trade Minister Gordan Maras on Tuesday.

Large investments, said Maras, have still not arrived, but he has high hopes that they will come in 2013 with the introduction of the new Investment Promotion Act. There will be significant incentives for all investments higher than 50,000 euros and businesses employing more than three employees.

Through 24 programmes, the Ministry of Business and Trade has secured more than 50 million euros in entrepreneurial incentives. Minister Maras minister said that the ministry was preparing new grants that will be larger than previous grants aimed at stimulating investment, reported portal politikaplus.com.
