€10 Million to Strengthen Croatian Tourism in 2014

All projects need to be submitted by the end of January so the Ministry can start distributing the money to successful projects by March this year. Minister Darko Lorencin also confirmed that money from the Tourism Development Fund budget will be used to help finance projects which are preparing to apply for funds from EU structural funds. In addition, 3 million euros in grants is forecasted for projects that contribute to the competitiveness of the tourism economy, including projects such as the “1000 swimming pool” project, and projects for the improvement and construction of additional facilities and green entrepreneurship in tourism. 1.1 million euros in grants will be provided to strengthen the tourism market and human resources in the tourism industry.
