Dubrovnik Port to Welcome Millionth Passenger Tomorrow

DubrovnikThe port of Dubrovnik, located in Gruz, is expected to welcome its millionth passenger on Tuesday 17 September, confirming a bumper cruiser season for the popular Croatian tourist destination.

In the first 8 months of 2013 445 cruisers, with more than 700,000 tourists aboard, arrived in Port Gruz, which is 13% more than the same period last year. Dubrovnik port authorities have confirmed that September will be just as prosperous as August, with a host of cruisers expected to arrive. The number of cruisers is expected to grow from 445 to 711 by the end of the year, 63 more than 2012. The last cruiser is scheduled to arrive on 24 December. There will be a formal welcome held in the port on Tuesday as the millionth passenger arrives.
