Donna Vekić Through to US Open 2nd Round For First Time in Career

donna_facebookYoung Croatian tennis hopeful Donna Vekić (17) has made it through to the 2nd round of the US Open for the first time in her career after disposing of Columbian Mariana Duque-Marino in three-sets. The Osijek-born teenager needed 2 hours and 20 minutes to finally overcome the spirited Columbian 7-6(5), 4-6, 6-2.
