In addition, football fans will be able to watch all the friendly matches of the Croatian national football team on Nova TV over the next six years.
“We are proud to continue broadcasting the most exciting sports content on Nova TV. It is our honour to broadcast the matches of the Croatian national football team, but also the responsibility to present the content to the viewers in the best possible way. As the strongest multimedia platform, Nova TV continues to create additional value, current and attractive content for all viewers of the national team in the next six years through the synergy of television and digital channels,” President of the Management Board of Nova TV Dražen Mavrić said.
In addition to the sports newsroom of Nova TV, which consists of journalists with extensive experience in reporting on major sporting events, commentators in the studio will be renowned football professionals Robert Jarni and Aljoša Vojnović. The editor of the project is Saša Lugonjić.
“The interest aroused in the general public by the performances of Vatreni is incomparable with anything else, and therefore working on the project of the national team is the biggest possible challenge in our work,” Saša Lugonjić said, adding. “We are all extremely happy and motivated by the extension of the contract.”
Nova TV first started broadcasting Croatian national team matches after the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The most watched television content in 2021 was Nova TV’s broadcast of the Croatia-Russia FIFA World Cup qualifier in October when over 1.1 million people watched.
HRT will broadcast the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year.
