Croatian Most Effective Striker in German Bundesliga

CroatiaCroatia striker Mario Mandžukić is the most effective striker in the German Bundesliga, according to statistics from Opta Sports

Mandžukić, who will miss Croatia’s clash with Brazil in the opening match of the World Cup in June, has played 20 matches for Bayern Munich this season and been on the pitch for a total of 1,397 minutes. The tall, tattooed marksman has found the back of the net 13 times, at a rate of a goal every 107 minutes – a record so far this season in Germany’s top division. Mandžukić is the league’s second top scorer.

Meanwhile over in Spain, fellow Croatian international  Ivan Rakitić is having a season to remember. According to portal WhoScored, only Lionel Messi (Barcelona) with 8.38 and Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) with 8.14 have higher average match ratings. Rakitić (7.79) has scored 10 times and has 8 assists for Sevilla.
